Job Description

Job Purpose:

Hyundai AutoEver America is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager I to help coordinate and manage product change activities within the Connected Car Services and Mobility Platform ecosystem. This role involves working closely with software engineers, architects, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of platform updates, enhancements, and integrations. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation, strong organizational skills, and demonstrated experience in managing digital product lifecycles in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities related to Connectivity Service Development and Operations include, but are not limited to:

Product Change Request (PCR) & Technical Execution Oversight (30%)

  • Coordinate and manage change requests including technical assessment, scope clarification, and feasibility evaluation.
  • Partner with development teams and architects to evaluate proposed solutions and new technologies.
  • Track and prioritize requests based on platform impact and business need.
  • Participate in technical feasibility reviews and ensure solutions align with broader platform goals.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Coordination (30%)

  • Assist with technical workshops and requirements gathering sessions involving cross-functional teams.
  • Translate technical updates into clear summaries for business and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage coordination with vendors and ensure timely delivery of technical artifacts and test results.

Operational Support (20%)

  • Use JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project (or similar tools) to track PCRs and project milestones.
  • Provide support during production deployments and post-release reviews.
  • Analyze performance metrics and user impact reports after release.

Technical Program Management (10%)

  • Develop execution plans that address system integration, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
  • Support backend API review sessions and coordinate interface agreements across mobile, middleware, and vehicle systems.
  • Facilitate UAT readiness and coordinate regression testing with QA.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to leadership.

Systems & Middleware Integration (10%)

  • Work with analysts and developers to validate technical requirements for connected car features and integrations.
  • Help document API specifications, data flows, and third-party integration points.
  • Support backend issue triaging and debugging efforts across systems.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, a related technical field or equivalent experiences.
  • 4 - 7 years of experience in technical project management or IT systems implementation, with at least 3 years in a connected vehicle, mobile app, or API-related domain.
  • Comfortable using JIRA, Confluence, and other PM documentation tools.
  • Exposure to Tier-1 automotive supplier or consulting environments.
  • Hands-on experience working with QA, development testing, and platform monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery and SDLC.
  • Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD workflows.

Preferred to have:

  • Mobile app lifecycles and platforms such as Android/iOS (Kotlin, Swift, or React Native)
  • Middleware and ESB integrations, and basic patterns for connecting backend systems.
  • Databases (SQL or NoSQL).
  • REST/GraphQL APIs and tools like Postman, Swagger.
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) at a conceptual or entry-level implementation level.
  • Experience in hands-on software development or solution architecture (2–3 years).
  • Ability to author API test scripts using Postman or similar tools.


Salary Range: $83,940 to $120,032
